Description
We are looking for an experienced general practitioner to provide whanau-centered, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to whanau (family) that addresses health needs and promotes wellness. The incoming physician will need to be comfortable working solo in one of our regional clinics, as well as our main clinic. They will also need to be comfortable working with medical students/trainees (we are a teaching practice) and with nurse practitioners.
We need someone who is highly engaged and passionate about working with our whanau in a kaupapa Maori environment. The successful candidate will need to be committed to achieving health equity and driving quality improvement to ensure better health outcomes for our communities.
The North Island of New Zealand is known for its volcanic activity, national parks, and cosmopolitan cities. Surrounded by bays and islands, it is known as “the City of Sails.” At its southern tip is Harbourside in Wellington's picturesque waterfront, home to the national museum, Te Papa.
