  • Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm, 8-hour shifts
  • Call: 1 weekend every 5 weeks — Friday 8 am through Monday 8 am
  • 12 – 16 patients per shift
  • Both inpatient and outpatient rounding
  • Call volume: 1 – 4 patients seen, 0 – 2 admissions per 24 hours
  • Phone consults: 1 – 3 per call shift
  • Ongoing assignment length
