In addition to bringing your emergency medicine expertise, you will be able to make a significant contribution to address inequities in health care. You will become familiar with Te Reo and Te Ao Maori and play an important role in our mission to becoming more responsive to the needs of Tangata Whenua (the people of this land). Our regional hospital is the primary healthcare facility on the East Cape of Aotearoa New Zealand. The hospital is a 115-bed teaching hospital and has inpatient services in medical and surgical, women's health, and pediatrics. Total yearly attendances of 25,000 and a 20 percent admission rate. The department has 14 beds, including resuscitation and isolation bays. There is access to onsite laboratory and radiology facilities (CT, US, MRI). Enjoy the benefits of working with us.
