Sunshine Brewery in Gisborne has been producing natural beer since 1989, making it the nation's longest-established craft brewer. Today, the brewery is known throughout New Zealand for its four brews—Gisborne Green, Gisborne Gold, Reserve Ale and Black Magic—all of which are cold-filtered, unpasteurized and have no added sugar.
If you want to sample some of this all-natural beer when you're in New Zealand, head over to the brewery. Here, you can take free tours of the facility or, with a reservation, indulge in a tasting.
Though you can purchase bottled beer from the facility's Brewery Store, it's recommended you bring your own containers to fill right on the spot. After all, there's nothing better than relaxing on the coast in Gisborne with a fresh beer.
