Thank New Zealand's wildlife enthusiasts for the Kepler Track

Many of New Zealand's most famous hiking trails were made out of necessity by the indigenous residents of the land. Kepler Track, however, was made for pure enjoyment. Who could blame the New Zealanders—the path showcases the best features of the Fiordland, from glacial valleys, native forests, cascading waterfalls and snow-covered mountains. When you take a medical job in New Zealand, you can challenge yourself by taking on this adventurous feat.

For 25 years, the Kepler Track has welcomed hundreds of physically fit athletes to endure the Kepler Challenge Mountain Run in the summer season—an activity that is not for the faint of heart. You can try a more light-hearted journey at your own pace, taking in the marvelous landscapes that you'll only find in the Land of the Long White Cloud.

One of the best parts of the wilderness journey is when you walk the span of a long section above the bushline, where the Kepler Mountains greet you on one side and peaceful rivers, lakes and valleys flank you on the other.
