Park City, Utah: A ski town like no other

Park City, Utah, isn't just one of the top ski resort communities in the U.S. – it's also one of the most vibrant singles communities in the country. That's good news for locum tenens doctors looking to meet active, exciting new people.

A center for excellence

A perennial favorite on top-ranked ski towns, Park City offers outdoor adventure with a celebrity flare.

Olympians and World Cup athletes are a frequent sight in Park City. Members of the U.S. Nordic and Alpine ski teams and our spectacular snowboarders all spend time training at the USSA Center for Excellence in Park City. Locum tenens doctors on assignment in the area can find these world-class athletes training on the slopes and unwinding in clubs and coffee shops around town.

Not your average ski town

Park City comes alive each January when the Sundance Film Festival rolls into town. Sundance is the premiere festival for storytellers to bring daring documentaries, shorts and feature films to audiences willing to take a risk on something outside the Hollywood norm.

In the weeks surrounding the festival, celebrities fill nightclubs to mix and mingle with ski coaches, lifties and vacationers. And in the morning, everyone hits the slopes at some of the best resorts in the country.

Deer Valley Ski Resort

Just 10 minutes from downtown Park City and less than 40 miles from the airport in Salt Lake, Deer Valley is one of the top-ranked guest services ski resorts in North America. The resort challenges experienced skiers with race courses from the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games while accommodating kids, families and newer skiers with groomed runs and a fantastic ski school.

The resort is close enough to base day trips out of Salt Lake. Or, set yourself up in Park City to capitalize on the hopping nightclub scene.

Park City is a wonderful getaway any time of the year. However, for locums looking for a cold weather hotspot this winter, Park City has a lot to offer.
