Loop, twirl and soar through the air in your own stunt plane

Attention, locum doctors: it's time to fully embrace your fear of flying. Zip up a flight suit, pull down those goggles and prepare to take off in your very own stunt plane, performing loops in the air and even gliding upside down through the clouds.

Piloting a stunt plane is one of the top ranked aviation activities in New Zealand, and how could it not be? With the sights of the Abel Tasman below, you may end up taking up the aviation hobby full time. You don't need any previous experience to man the plane, but if you're a seasoned pilot and want to show off your skills, you're welcome to join in, too.

When you fly through the sky, you'll have only 15 to 20 minutes to execute 4-point rolls and cuban 8s, so make each moment count. If one time just isn't enough for you to soar through the sky, a two-flight package is also an option, allowing you to perfect your turns if you didn't quite reach your goal the first time around.

Commanding your own plane isn't the only wild adventure you can do in the Kiwi country. Paragliding, skydiving and white water rafting through class five rapids are other favorite activities of locals and tourists when seeking a thrill.
