During a visit to Western Australia, locum tenens can check out some amazing natural landscapes while they explore the wondrous terrain of Cape Range National Park.
This expansive reserve covers an area of more than 117,760 acres approximately 687 miles north of the city of Perth. Situated on the western shore of the North West Cape Peninsula, the terrain of this park has been eroded by wind and water over time, resulting in a landscape that includes rugged limestone ridges, deep canyons and stunning beaches.
Adventurers will find plenty to do during a visit to Cape Range, as the park is home to more than 700 caves and a spectacular gorge formed by water trapped behind a sandbar. Those who are more interested in checking out the reserve's flora and fauna won't be disappointed, as they may be able to spot species like the rock wallaby, red kangaroo, emu and wallaroo.
Travelers can also use Cape Range National Park as a base when they explore Ningaloo Marine Park, a world-renowned coral reef located just offshore. Here, tourists can dive among some of the planet's most breathtaking underwater creatures, including manta rays and whale sharks.
