Visit more than 120 species of animals at Halls Gap Zoo

We assume you want to see a kangaroo, koala or Tasmanian devil while you locum in Australia. But how about some Zebras and giraffes, too? Then make your way to the Halls Gap Zoo while you are in Australia on your locum assignment.

This Victoria attraction can be found situated at the foothills of Australia’s Grampians Mountains, the zoo’s website states. Here, you can find more than 120 species of animals that are native to the Land Down Under and other countries around the world.

A trip to the zoo provides a great opportunity to learn about local mammals, such as dingos, the different species of wallaby and the common wombat. Exotic mammals that can be found on the zoo grounds include meerkats and a red panda.

Additionally, you can find a selection of native and exotic birds and reptiles, as well as such farm animals as turkeys, pigs, ponies and goats. You will also have a chance to meet some of Halls Gap’s newest residents, as The Stawell Times News reported that the attraction is set to gain zebras and giraffes.
